Stopgap 500 is a high-quality, fast-setting, protein-free smoothing underlayment from F. Ball, designed for preparing internal subfloors prior to the installation of a wide range of floor coverings. Ideal for both commercial and domestic environments, it provides a smooth, level surface that ensures a professional finish and long-lasting performance.

This versatile levelling compound can be applied from 3mm to 20mm thickness in a single application, making it suitable for a variety of subfloor conditions. Its protein-free formulation makes it compatible with moisture-sensitive adhesives and floor coverings such as LVT, vinyl, rubber, and linoleum, helping to minimise the risk of future floor failure.

Stopgap 500 offers excellent flow and self-smoothing properties, allowing for easy application and consistent results across large areas. It can be used over concrete, sand/cement screeds, and other sound substrates when properly prepared and primed with an appropriate F. Ball primer.
