Mapei Ultraplan Renovation Screed 3240 is a high-performance, fibre-reinforced self-levelling compound designed for the renovation and refurbishment of existing floors in both domestic and commercial environments.
Suitable for application from 3mm to 40mm in a single coat, Renovation Screed 3240 can be used to level, smooth and infill a wide variety of new and existing substrates. These include concrete, screeds, stone, terrazzo, ceramic tiles and suitably prepared timber substrates including floorboards, chipboard and plywood.
Its fibre-reinforced formulation makes it particularly versatile for refurbishment work and areas requiring good resistance to loads. It is also suitable for castor-wheel traffic and use with underfloor and undertile heating systems. Once applied, its self-levelling properties create a smooth surface ready to receive floor finishes including vinyl, carpet, wood, ceramic tiles and natural stone.
Ultraplan Renovation Screed 3240 can be hand or pump applied and has an approximate working time of 20 minutes. A 25kg bag requires approximately 4.25–4.5 litres of clean water and provides approximately 6m² coverage at 3mm thickness.
The compound sets in approximately 40–90 minutes and can typically be walked on after 3–12 hours. Ceramic tiles can be bonded after 3–12 hours, while resilient and wood flooring can be installed after approximately 24–72 hours, subject to conditions
