Product Description

Mapei Ultrabond Eco TX3 is a professional, solvent-free flooring adhesive with excellent wet grab and rapid build-up of strength, designed for installing textile floor coverings and linoleum onto internal absorbent substrates.

It is suitable for bonding carpets and textile floor coverings with a wide variety of backing types, including jute, polypropylene, Action-Bac®, woven, latex, foam and needle-punched backings. It can also be used for the installation of linoleum with a natural jute backing.

Ultrabond Eco TX3 is suitable for both residential and commercial installations, including areas exposed to static and dynamic loads such as offices, hotels, restaurants, libraries, auditoriums and airports. It is also suitable for chair castor traffic, underfloor heating systems and double-stick carpet installations.

The ready-to-use acrylic adhesive provides high initial grab, excellent wetting and fast development of bond strength, helping to hold textile floor coverings securely during installation while developing a tough final bond. It is non-flammable, solvent-free and classified EMICODE EC1 Plus for very low emissions.

Application is straightforward: simply stir the adhesive in the bucket and spread evenly using a suitable notched trowel. Depending on conditions and the floor covering, the adhesive has a waiting time of 0–10 minutes and an open time of approximately 10–30 minutes. Floor coverings should be installed while the adhesive is still wet to achieve good transfer to the backing.

Ultrabond Eco TX3 is suitable for light foot traffic after approximately 3–5 hours and reaches readiness for use after approximately 24–48 hours.
