Mapei Latexplan No Ammonia is a professional, fast-setting, two-part cement-based levelling and smoothing compound designed for preparing a wide variety of new and existing subfloors prior to the installation of floor coverings.

It can be applied from 3mm to 10mm and is particularly versatile for refurbishment work. Latexplan No Ammonia can be applied over most existing adhesive residues, including bitumen, as well as plywood, concrete, sand/cement screeds, ceramic and porcelain tiles, natural stone and MAPEI surface-applied DPMs. In many applications, priming is not required.

The two-part system consists of a 20kg bag of cement-based powder and 4.4kg of synthetic rubber latex liquid. Its low-odour formulation makes it suitable for use in confined or occupied areas where disruption needs to be kept to a minimum.

Latexplan No Ammonia is also moisture tolerant and can be applied beneath surface-applied damp-proof membranes, providing installers with additional flexibility when dealing with residual or static moisture. It is also suitable for use with underfloor heating systems.

Designed for fast-track flooring installations, the compound has approximately 20 minutes working time, is suitable for light foot traffic after around 60 minutes, and can receive bonded floor coverings after just 4 hours under normal conditions.

One complete 24.4kg unit provides approximately 5m² coverage at 3mm thickness. With its rapid drying, moisture tolerance, ability to go over many existing adhesive residues and reduced requirement for priming, Latexplan No Ammonia is an excellent all-round preparation product for professional flooring installations.
